On Ramp to the Day, Fueled by Coffee

I must admit, that I have 'freinded' Dunkin Donuts. I have the green punch card from the corner store that has one more punch to it until I get my free coffee and I only got it a week ago. I have also driven 15 minutes out of my way (more than once) to get to a Tim Hortons rather than hit the BK on the way home from the doctors.

I have a coffee problem. An addiction? Well maybe not, but I do spend way too much on coffee when I am out, and I drink way too much.
According to Mark it isn't the morning coffee that is the problem, but using it as a crutch to get through the day is. I find I rely on it for energy through out the day. Around 1PM I get nap tired and want to catch some zzzz's, but being a busy mom on a summer day, I just can't. So it is off to the drive through for an extra large iced. Even if I manage to fall asleep, I wake up groggy and more miserable than before I fall asleep, so I'll make a pot.

I don't want to have a crutch. I quit smoking because I hated the idea of 'needing' something. I don't want to need coffee either.

Here is the plan:
  • I will have ONE mug of coffee in the morning.
  • I will have ONE mug of tea in the afternoon.
How will I achieve this feat over the next month? Not sure that I can do it, but I will give it the Primal 80% try. I decided to buy quality coffee, Green Mountain Guatamalian and some nice chai to get me through the month.

Wish me luck!
