Carbs Comparison – Brussels Sprouts / Pasta ~FoodSize.com

Jason from FoodSize.com has a great blog with some awesome pictures comparing foods. Most of the pictures show what 100 calories look like. Which is cool to see and something my kids should know about.

Wednesday Workout - Jump!

Todays workout is brought to by the letter 'J'. 'J' stands for jump rope, of course. It isn't just for little girls in the play yard or big boxers at the gym. It is for everyone and in every shape.

Nothing is better for bringing up the heart hate than a jump rope. Skipping rope for 15 minutes burns about the same calories as a 10-minute mile but a lot less impact on your knees. Besides being a great fat-burner, jumping rope tones your upper and lower body muscles at the same time. It increases your endurance, stamina, and the light impact will even increase your bone density.

Eating Out Primal ~ Brazilian Steak House

Eating out at restaurants, for someone who wants to eat Primal, can be come difficult and sometimes require one to be creative. When visiting a Brazilian Steak House, specifically Gauchos Brazilian Steak House in Portland, Maine, there is no creativity required.

My friend Michelle, my daughter Justice and I went to Gauchos around 5PM on a Saturday. Such a popular place it was, that we were asked if we had reservations. Fortunately, even though we didn't have a reservation, it was early enough in the service, that there was a table available.

Primal Fitness > Fighting?

Second Place
Karate World Championship

What is more primal to man's survival than the will to fight to survive. It is definitely what our ancestors had to do.  Weather they were fighting off lions and bears, or each other in a war over women and territory, the strongest among them survived and procreated to make me and you.

We are past fighting to survive. Sometimes I think it may be a detriment to our gene pool if you have ever visited People of Walmart.
